Put on Christ Daily?

Glasses on Book

When you have a name like Put on Christ Daily and you post to it a couple of times in the last three months there may be a slight disconnect.  I am reminded when Jesus was talking about a paralytic, asked a crowd in a synagogue, “Which is easier saying your sins are forgiven or take up your bed and walk?”

Which is easier for me, talk about putting on Christ daily or actually encouraging you daily? Well the answer is of course talking about doing anything is always easier than doing it.

Forgive me for my hit and miss posting but if you need an excuse, life has been getting in the way. I will do better.

Today I want to ask you a question and give you my answer.  The question:

Does God micro-manage things in your life?

Let me answer from my personal experience yesterday.  I was about to leave the house to go to church, I grabbed my Bible and reading glasses.  Then I had a thought, “Where is you other pair of glasses?” As I have talked about in previous posts, I simply replied to the thought in my head, “Who cares, I have a pair.”

The thought came back, “get the other pair of glasses.”  I grabbed the second pair of glasses and left my house not thinking about it again.

While at church, my Pastor, Denny Duron preached on Romans 10:17; Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  After he finished he challenged us (everyone in church) to read aloud the scriptures in our handout.

Now I realize this is not life or death but this is what happened next.  The man seated behind me did have a handout, I tried to give him my handout but he said, “don’t worry about it, I don’t have my reading glasses either.  I then remembered, “hey I have an extra pair of glasses”, about that time someone handed him a handout and he was able to participate in the service.

This was a huge faith building experience for me, it also  helped me stay open to listening for God’s voice in my life.  Was it God?  That is for you to decide, I am confident it was God because I have never carried two pair of glasses.  I occasionally have a back up pair in my car or office but I was “impressed” to have two pair with me.  And during the service I found out why.

Let me know if and how God has communicated with you.  Did you listen?  I found it difficult to obey the first time, mainly because it made no sense to me.  But I listened and today I’m glad I did.

Until next time, remember: You overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony, and by becoming a living sacrifice. Revelation 12:11
