Christian Clothing Today

While searching online for the best Christian T-shirts I was surprised to see many different choices and web sites. The top site on most of my searches was C-28. They were followed  closely by Kerusso and NOTW (Not of this World).

These are all great web sites and have many different styles to choose from but as you know when selecting a Christian clothing choice I have got to throw in a bit of evangelism. What is the use of wearing a Christian t-shirt that screams, “I have Jesus…and you don’t.”  No wonder people outside the faith are not fighting to get in.

The church as a whole has no real power, (some would argue we have some political power but is that what Jesus wants to be known for?) I talking blind eyes open, heal the sick, raise the dead power…Now that would draw a crowd and you maybe then you make a Christian t-shirt that said, “Yea, I’m the guy that used Jesus’ name to raise the dead. Follow me to see what’s going to happen tonight”.

Remember you overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb, the word of your testimony and a sacrificial lifestyle.

Easter Brings Me Back

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new

I love Easter it is my favorite holiday because it is when Jesus won the complete and total victory. I don’t know what it is about me but I love to win. How many of you like to win? I would guess the number is pretty high.

Winning involves risk doesn’t it? Don’t you have to enter the contest or event to have a chance to win. On of the biggest problems in the church today (I know you are saying “Here he goes again”) is most people do not enter in. What do I mean exactly?

You must first decide you are going to join the team and enter into this game of life before you will ever have a chance to win. Jesus enter in over 2000 years ago, He poured Himself into His life and look at the result. Total victory! He conquered, sin, the grave, death, Satan, sickness, disease…you name it He defeated it.

How did He do it? Well the first step was agreeing to become involved. He had to make a decision to first come to Earth, that just got the ball rolling. Every day He had a choice to make, and every day He made the right choice. What an example He left us.

When I look at the life and death of Jesus I see a Man that was focused on a goal. He came to destroy the works of the enemy. Satan had all of mankind bound in sin. In one act, Jesus’ sacrifice on Calvary He totally destroyed the grip Satan had on God’s people.

Jesus is at the right hand of the Father, He is making intersession for you and me right it this very moment. I believe He is wanting us to finish the race He has made each and every one of us to run. God made you for a purpose, find out what that purpose is and get in the race (or back in the race if you are like me)

I enjoy writing to this blog but it some times gets a little difficult to find the time and energy. Hopefully it will help to encourage you as you read this, that’s my goal. May God bless you today and every day.

As a side note- I am opening a new Christian Clothing store online, starting to stock it and get everything in order. I am selling Christian T Shirts and Christian hats, basically Christian Apparel. Those of you how know me, know God gave me a vision to take back the clothing industry for His glory. A race I have stumbled and fallen in many times, I was down not out. Go by and check it out (hopefully we will have a Grand Opening Easter…Did I mention I Love Easter?)

Until next time, remember: You overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony, and by becoming a living sacrifice. Revelation 12:11

God, teach me to number my days

So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.  Psalm 90:12

Hour Glass

Hour Glass

Have you ever had so much to do you wind up doing nothing?  That describes where I have been the last week with my posts here.

There have been so many different things I wanted to write about and I ended up writing nothing.  FYI, we have some exciting announcements coming in the next few weeks concerning One Drop of Blood.  (See how thoughts just bounce around in your head)

Time is the one thing each one of us has the exact same amount of each day.  Another gift we all have in common is God’s grace and while we are at it, we all have been given THE measure of faith. (Romans 12:13) As I look at time, God’s grace, and the measure of faith the thing that separates people in this world is how we appropriate these three elements into our lives.

What would make you value these “gifts” each day?  I once thought while meditating on God’s word.  God teach me to number my days, and almost immediately I got the thought, “If you had been given 6 months to live you would learn to number your days” . (The number would be 180)

WOW, where did that thought come from?  This is an observation- Older people seem to be in less of a hurry.  The very people with the least amount of time left on Earth are the very people I do not want to get behind while driving.

Why do most older people seem to be more relaxed about “wasting” time?  How can they just sit there on a park bench and watch the birds?  I may not have it all figured out but some of my best days are when I relax into the day, instead of  trying to conqueror the day.

Part of the reason is God made us human beings, not human doings. Try today to enjoy just being here on Earth.  Look at what God created and let the wonder of it all take your breath away.  That is a little more touchy, feely than I like but I feel like it needs to be said.  (Still don’t think I can sit on a bench and watch birds.)

Going to Florida next week, so I am going to try and post some things from my phone. (That will be a huge deal for me, I tend to be technologically challenged)

Until next time, remember: You overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony, and by becoming a living sacrifice. Revelation 12:11

Why clothes Lord?

Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your mercy,  because of Your truth. Psalm 115:1

Have you ever asked a question of God and waited for an answer?  That is where I have been for almost 7 years.  The funny thing about this “Christian Clothing Company thing”, is I have had absolutely no attraction to clothes.

That does not mean I am against people being dressed.  No, put me down as saying most people I see need to have on more clothes, not less.  The point I am trying to make is, I never cared about what I was wearing. (Much to the dismay of my wife)  There are many things I care about, things I am passionate about, clothes wasn’t one of them…until now.

Christian Clothing Line

Christian Clothing Line

Clothes were created by God to hide our nakedness. Satan has taken clothes and like everything else God created, he has distorted their purpose.  Instead of a covering, they are now a fashion statement.

“Clothes make the man”, I am sure you have heard that before.  Do you think that saying can be found anywhere in the Bible?  Let me save you some time…it is not in there.  Satan is a liar, thief, murderer, a master deceiver and he has “owned” the clothing industry.

I want to go on the record as saying I own the most powerful clothing line in the world.  In fact, when God finishes teaching me all He wants me to learn and releases me, Nike, Under ArmourRalph Lauren, etc. be forewarned, we will totally dominate the clothing industry.  How can I say that you may ask?  I say it because I believe taking back the clothing industry is something God wants to do.  Is anyone in this industry giving God the glory?  Some may give a token mention to God, but our company is being built upon the word of God, Jesus.

The reason we have “struggled” in the past is not because of God, it is because of me.  I am no longer going to stand in the way of God.  No, I am praying to be released into this arena to do battle for the souls of men.

This company will give God glory (it already does) in everything we do  and accomplish.  It will display the love of Christ and here is the best part, it will help the church bring in the harvest of the lost sheep wandering around without a Savior.  What other clothing line has that as its primary mission? (Can you see why we are confident, God is going to bless us?)

So here it is February 1, 2010, and we have not yet dominated in any area of the apparel industry, but we will, in Jesus name.  We are excited about what God is doing in our company and we believe you will be too.

Until next time, remember: You overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony, and by becoming a living sacrifice. Revelation 12:11

Not everyone is an evangelist

If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? (1 Corinthians 12:17)

Have you ever noticed the person usually with the most enthusiasm for a project or assignment is the one who can do it the best?  We have an evangelist come to our church to tell us all how to evangelize.  They are

Tiger Woods hits his driver

Tiger Woods hits his driver

usually the best of the best.  It would be like having Tiger Woods tell you how to hit a driver and then show you videos.   Are you then going to be able to hit the ball like Tiger? No, not even if he takes you outside and teaches you everything he knows, you still will not hit the ball like Tiger. Tiger has a gift, and his gift makes things easy for him that are harder for you to do.   I’ll bet you struggled to witness like the evangelist also.  Have you ever thought, “maybe that is not my gift”.  Have you ever asked the question, “What about us average non-gifted believers”?  What are we to do?

Since becoming a Christian over 16 years ago I have been told repeatedly, “you need to fulfill the Great Commission”.   How many times have you gone door to door?  I have never read in the Bible where Jesus went door to door. (So why do we?)  His fame, love or reputation brought the people to Him.

Feeling a little frustrated and maybe even a little guilty, I prayed for help to be a better witness.  My goal was not to save the world, I wanted to be able to talk to friends and family about Jesus.

One on One witnessing

One on One witnessing

God gave me an idea over 6 years ago and it has changed my witnessing life forever.  This idea was so simple, even I could do it.  The first time I tried this simple idea, two people asked me about Jesus.  Over the last 5 years I have told hundreds of people about Jesus and I still do not consider myself an “evangelist”.

If you have ever struggled with witnessing, we have discovered an amazing tool… your clothes.  Clothes were invented by God to cover sin, (Gen 3:21)and God gave us a logo to use, to help tell people about Jesus.  Here is the best part…you don’t have to say a word until someone asks you a question.

We have coined the phase Effortless Evangelism.  Jesus said, “My yoke is easy and My burden is light”.  So with that scripture in mind, we developed Wear Christian Clothing, a company created to empower/help the body of Christ fulfill the Great Commision.
You do not have to be a good witness, you need to only cover your nakedness with clothes that will solicit a question.  You will be blessed and amazed at how much easier it is to answer a question than it is to start a conversation about Jesus… Effortless Evangelism

Is Salvation really for everyone?

The quick and easy answer is yes. Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the whole world this includes past, present and future sins of everyone, everywhere. (1 John 2:2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not ours only but also for the whole world.)

The real problem for salvation is not sin. The price for sin has been paid, in full, by Jesus Christ. The real and most telling question God will ask you, (He may ask more questions but I am confident this one will be asked, probably first.) “What have you done with My Son, Jesus?” The answer to this question will determine where you spend eternity.

So how do you “get in” to Heaven? It is only through Jesus. In John 14:6 Jesus very clearly states, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Pretty simple, the path to getting the right answer to God’s question is through Jesus.

The Good News is everyone is eligible for salvation. The not so good news is many will reject Jesus. There are many reasons given for not following Christ but it all boils down to “pride”.
God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.(1 Peter 5:5, James 4:6) That is the key, a church word called repentance is what must happen before there can be true salvation.

Through repentance you admit you were wrong, you admit God was right and ask God to forgive you. It is also a turning away from the past attitude of you being in control and admitting or declaring that God is now in control of your life.

God reached out to me many times but I was too arrogant and stubborn to listen. It was not until I realized I was going nowhere and needed some direction for my life that I was open to God. I was invited to hear the Word of God at a business meeting that had an “optional” Sunday morning service. The Word was preached and the Word came to life in me. It is to true what is said in Romans 10:17 that faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Then I took that faith that came from hearing and I combined it with the Grace of God and I was saved. Using Ephesians 2:8 You are saved by grace through faith and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God. My salvation came when I confessed with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believed in my heart that God raised Christ from the dead, I was saved. (Romans 10:9)

It has been a wonderful journey that started over 15 years ago and grows stronger each day. No where in the Bible do I read my new life in Christ will be without trials but I do read daily how God will supply the strength, courage and power to overcome anything that comes my way.

God saved me by His word, explained/preached through faithful men and women of God. The word of God must be proclaimed for faith to come and salvation to take place. So we at One Drop of Blood have developed a product to open the door of conversation so that word of God can be proclaimed.
